Shilpa is a Commerce and Law Graduate from the University of Mumbai. She is a member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India and a holds a Diploma certificate in Computer software from the Department of Technical Education, Mumbai.

She has over 24 years of work experience. She joined Wockhardt Ltd. in 1991 in Finance Department. Thereafter she worked as Company Secretary with DBS Properties Ltd and Vans Information Ltd., both listed on Bombay Stock Exchange. After attaining significant work experience she started her own practice in 2003. While in practice she handled clients i.e. Companies from varied industries registered in and outside India. She also held directorship in Swish Services Pvt. Ltd. for some time. In 2010 she entered the corporate sector again and joined High Mark Credit Information Pvt. Ltd., a credit Information Company licensed by Reserve Bank of India as Associate Vice-President- Legal & Compliance and Company Secretary. Over next 4 years she handled many challenging assignments in corporate, legal and compliance area. In recognition of her dedication, hard work, sincerity, and loyalty towards the Company, the management awarded her with stock options, which are otherwise given to Sales and software executives.

With the vast experience and knowledge gained at High Mark Credit Information Pvt. Ltd., she recently started practicing as a Corporate Law Professional. She is also on the Board of Directors of a listed Company in the position of Independent Woman Director.
