Airslide and Airslide Fabrics: Non-Woven Needle Felts for Conveying Dry Powders

Airslide Tec needle felts are an ideal solution for conveying dry powders, constructed with a fine, uniform pore structure, and engineered for consistent even air flow over the product's operating life.

Application:

  • Cement, Lime and Gypsum Industries.
  • Aluminum Industries.
  • Coal-Fired Power Plants.
  • Transport of Bulk Powder Goods.

Benefits Of Non-Woven Airslide:

  • No fraying
  • Minimal Sag
  • Easy installation (not required stretching)
  • Reduce air leaking
  • No dust storage on the surface
  • Longer operational lifetime
  • Rot and mildew resistance
Flow Diverters

DIVERTER DAMPERS: Are tight shut off devices used to redirect hot gas flow from one outlet to another and are commonly used in Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG) exhaust stack applications.

Industrial Applications: Power Stations, Gas Turbine Plants, Cement Plants, Steel Smelters, Waste Heat Recovery Plants, Garbage Incinerating Plants, Chemical Process Industries.

LOUVER DAMPER: A damper having multiple blades which are mechanically linked so that they open or close simultaneously. The louver type of damper consists of several blades mounted parallel across a duct, with centrally pivoted shafts extending out through a frame and driven by a linkage.

  • Qualities: The drive for a louver is simple, needing only 90° of motion turn for the actuator. Louver dampers are best to balance or control the flow of the Gas.
  • Application: Able to handle any type of Gas, Fly-ash & air flow application in the power plant.
  • Advantages: Compact, has no bonnet extension, it needs minimal external side clearance and Lightweight.  Drive and linkages are easily accessible for maintenance. Control function is simpler with opposed blades. Thin metal blade construction gives quick response to thermal transients.

FLAP DAMPERS: are employed for re-routing or total shutoff duct system. Their blades may be driven either directly or by the means of peripherally positioned shafts, with pivoting levers or with internal toggle levers. All types of actuators can be used with flap dampers.

  • Qualities: With single Seals, an area equivalent tightness of 99.98% is achieved, while with double sealing and seal air, they are 100% gas tight in terms of UV regulations. Depending on temperature and chemical composition of the gas, corrosion resistant stainless steel or coating can be embodied into the damper design.
  • Applications: Process industries, FGD (Flue Gas De-sulfurization), SCR (Slow catalytic reactor) and GT plants.
  • Advantages: Large blades with reduced sealing length and very low leakage can be achieved, 100% gas tight with seals, insulated blades to reduce heat radiation and can replace two separate (louver) dampers, depending on the duct configuration.

SLIDE GATE DAMPER: has the main function of process isolation and isolation of equipment to permit inspection, maintenance, or repair. Are generally used when space limitations don't allow for longer damper casings.

  • Qualities: Isolate a duct section for process or maintenance purpose, achieve 100 % isolation with sealing arrangements. It has robust rack &pinion or chain design arrangement.
  • Application: This damper type will often be used in coal fired power plants, where high ash accumulation has to be handled.
  • Advantages: 100% isolation possible, low pressure drop even when the damper is wide open in the process. Less space occupied adjacent to the duct. Less damage caused from furnace particles and pressure incidents due to low wear and tear damper properties.

DOUBLE LOUVER DAMPERS:

Are used for the gastight shut off of flue gas ducts. Seals in between the blades achieves a 100% gastight shut off (man safe). This type of damper provides an advantage over the technically simpler tandem damper as far as safety of operation is concerned.

  • Construction: Can made of stainless steel or of mild steel with a chemically resistant coating.
  • Application: Process industries - FGD, and GT plants.
  • Advantages: Adjustable blade design, Upstream and downstream blades can be supplied in different materials as per the individual operation conditions & requirements. Linkages are patent design which are not affected by operational forces.

GAS TURBINE DIVERTERS: Are equipped with internal or external insulation. They are powered hydraulically or electrically while blade actuation may be by means of internal toggle levers or directly through a peripherally positioned shaft with pivot levers.

  • Qualities: Blade with lattice support structure (patented)and free floating, with attached diaphragm cover plates. Seals (patented)provide high resilience as well as stability during modulating services. Diverter drive shaft and integral levers are designed asper lattice structure which reduces the losses of the damper area.
  • Design: Allow gas turbine operation during steam turbine trip, Controlled process of steam cycle during combined cycle start-up, Fast switching from combined to simple cycle. Pre-designed for conversion into a diverter damper when future conversion to combined cycle may be a possibility.
